I have assembled these pics in response to inquiries regarding the conversion of the excellent Lee Classic Cast (IRON) press for bullet swaging. This is a home made conversion, executed by none other than BIG MIKE, during one of HIS brief visits. ;) I have sent the pics and a crude drawing to George Ulrich, who, assuming that he deems the Lee press worthy, may begin offering reasonably priced conversion "kits" and fully converted presses to interested parties. George has the connections and KNOW-HOW to make this happen . . . the idea of using the Lee presses came to me - second hand - from none other than Ferris Pendell, of PPC and bullet die fame . . . the people who heard, directly from Mr. Pendell - that these presses are TOP DRAWER - then relayed the info to me, must have thought HIM an idiot - NOT! Well, THEY didn't follow-up on his advice - but, knew I am dumb enough to try, "the impossible" . . . ;)
I have been pointing bullets on this particular press for quite some time now . . . one Mr. Ken Livengood was able to shoot FOUR consecutive 250-25X scores using bullets poitned via this set-up . . . despite the RED paint! ;) This is a very well engineered press - I originally purchased five of them - all were/are DEAD-NUTS true: that is, the rams and die threads are in perfect radial AND axial alignment - a rare combination of positive attributes - MADE in THE U.S.A., at a very affordable price! :) RG
P.S. I see that during the reduction, the captions became close to unreadable - if enough people want the info, I'll retype it and get it up somehow.
