Though somewhat gruesome, this pic depicts the norm for terminal performance of the "soft" core (1% antimony) version of the new BIB 25 Cal. 110 GR. FB/HP , launched at a muzzle velocity of 3540 FPS. This hapless survivor of the latest bout of THE PLAGUE was scheduled for termination via poisoning the following day. His more merciful dispatching , via the Idiot Mag, proved instantaneous. Ranged back to the truck following snapping this pic, the Lica read 178 Yards.
This was the day before the deer/antelope seasons opened - one of only two days during which we experienced less than 20 MPH wind velocities. I shot 8 PDs with the .257 - foour with the soft cored 110s and 4 with the "hard" cores; the difference was noticable. RG
