What are we mortals to do now? We used to have an "edge" . . . but since you're new to the "slow twisters" and we can't keep you from having one, we'll offer some tips on getting the most out of them: 1) prior to chambering, polish the bore with 120 grit lapping compound  - liberally applied to a rusty nail (the spike off a GB wind flag pole is just perfect); 2) consult the Head Beaver (a.k.a. Larry Cribbs), LaGrande, OR, regarding proper "finishing" of the chamber/throat using a well "seasoned" (ok, rusty) rat-tailed file; 3) whatever anyone tells ya, DO NOT use H-4198(extreme); 4) convince Stan Ware to share his newly developed crowning method, which involves the liberal application of BLACK JUICE (ok, consumption) and spinning the barrel at 1500 RPM while daubing the drippings onto the the muzzle with a serrated  butter knife . . . these and hopefully a few more tidbits [from others] should get you off to a [more or less] human beginning! ;)

Keep 'em ON the X! R.G.
