The post below got me thinking about what I would consider the 'perfect' action for HBR...here goes.
-Kodiak pattern alum. reciever body (integral recoil lug) with steel inserts as they are currently done
-Available hard anodized in different colors
-.001-.0015 bolt-to-reciever clearance (no 'bumps' on the bolt)
- Adjustable trigger hanger for sear engagement
- One piece bolt body and handle like the Nesika actions
- Squared off rear tang, 'ala the BAT actions
- Rear action screw through drilled for maximum thread engagement
-Sides of the reciever tapered .015 top-to-bottom
-Coned bolt (of course)
-Dovetail mount on reciever drilled with a series of 8-32 blind holes (for adding stops to ensure the rings don't slip)
-A way to center the pin assy. in the bolt body to reduce the vibration and guide it correctly through the pin hole....maybe a Bellville-type spring rather than the coil spring currently used, or at the very least a spring with a different helix angle to prevent stacking.
- Around 28 oz. w/ trigger hanger.
And last but not least...Catherine Bell from the TV series 'J.A.G.' (aka Colonel MacKenzie) could deliver it to me all dressed up in a green velvet Santa's Helper costume!

Hey...as long as I'm wishing, right??????
Anybody got any ideas for action for these BR guns, either the HBR or Varmint class? -Al
