Jim here's my spin: a [jacketed] bullet should NEVER have to obturate; it is ALWAYS better to have the bore size the bullet [diameter] down. Assuming a decent rechamber job, yes, I believe that you can reasonably expect improved precision. Good luck and good shootin'! R.G.

 

P.S. We didn't get down to Troy's place for the late (rifle) doe harvest; it was raining up this way, so Troy, displaying signs of aging, called the hunt off! Besides, neither of us were too hyped up to slay a bunch of his does/fawns. Now, it's ack to the dungeon for me . . .
