Edit

Hi Mike...glad to hear you'll be joining us poor 'ol 6X shooters next year!

I'm not aware of any good HBR guns right now, but I'll keep my eyes open. Sometimes it's money better spent to go with a new rig and be sure of the freebore diameter and length as well as bedding issues. Kelbly's currently has Kodiaks in stock...this situation can change as the season goes on as they run the Kodiaks in smaller batches than the Pandas.

Were you thinking of a 30X44-ish case or one of the 30X47's? The die situation is certainly one area that will get a guy into trouble, but you're fortunate to have several good 'smiths in the area that have the reamer/die situation worked out.

I can highly recommend the .30 WareWolf chambering...the dies are simple (works great for a dirt clod like me), reasonably inexspensive, and Stan has a proven reamer with a freebore diameter/length situation that gives us a tuneup that stays constant in all temps and humidties and is easy to tune.

Maybe R.G. will let you take that old BAT off his hands? I understand you put a nice paint job on it and now he's sleeping with it under his pillow.    -Al
