Hello, Suz!

Regarding Stan's age - having been born in the *PROPER month, and further, in the **CORRECT week of said month, there is little wonder that he IS so well preserved! THIS would also account for his beeing GREAT at what he does! ;) 

After consultation with the "kids" AND THE BOOK, it appears that Stan still qualifies as a full-fledged DUFFER , safely and securely many years removed from Codgerdom! Further, my daughter, Becky, an expert in such matters, advises that having a loving, vivacious spouse tugs heavily on the reins of time - and surely, Mr. Ware benifits from THAT! ;)
