Hey Randy,I think we may have had this conversation before. I reluctantly differ with you and your view on configuration. I think your take on volume is flawed. I say this realizing I am a nobody in comparison to all the experimenting and knowledge you have gleaned but How could configuration not matter wwhen one looks at the performance of the PPC and the 30 BR ? how else can you explain their performance. If I am correct in my thinking, there is an inherent efficiency in a certain shape of charge in comparison to the bullet size one is trying to push. It just seems to make sense to me.
I can not agree on volume , per se. I think the combined bore area and other elements must all line up. I don't think efficiency is found in MORE, usually. I think success in the accuracy game is measuerd in the efficiency one can find.
regarding the smaller bushing : What seating depth are we talking here. I would guess that neck tension and what seating depth it will permit is or may be the key here. The extra pressure it might build could be a factor to I suppose but I would be more inclined to think Seating depth , at least from my experiences in fooling with same after being enlighted by Dr. D. this summer. I think any and lall of tha "Magic " is always explainable. P
