I have never shot 300 yards with my HBR gun before and had some difficulties getting the parallax out of my scope. I can get the Parallax out at 100 and 200 yards with adjustment but couldn't seem to get it all out at 300. I got it minimized as best as possible and delt with it. The scope is a Burris HBRII that I really like. It has been rock solid and I have a lot of confidence in the scope, so I don't want to have it monkeyed with. I have a spare scope of the same make, model and vintage in the safe that I could switch to. I have an astigmatism that may be complicating matters also.
The gun is working so well, and I'll likely not shoot 300 yards again until next year. I would like to know if anybody has a suggestion on how I might go about adjusting the parallax out. So far, I have adjusted the objective and then the eye focus. For all of you scope gurus out there, what is the proper way to adjust the parallax.
Any suggestions.
