Was out near Calgary yesterday shooting at 18" gong at 1800 yds and got my hands on a 6XC case from one of the guys out there. I was shooting a friends 8.6mm(.338) x72mm SDM and no, I did not hit it, but I scared the s&*t out it! We were actually high and the ground dropped off behind the target so it was hard to see the hits. The few short ones when you aimed in the field below the target tossed dirt like artilery but you had no good consistant aim point in the field and without mil dots it's a guessing game for me :( Had about a 100 moa base setup on it. If we could have moved it out further it would have been easier, with the target on an uphill grade instead of a crest of a small hill. One out of the four guys here for this fun shoot actually hit it. Next time she will ring and by then I should have a 6mm/250 FClass rig up and runnning too, if I can see the bullets hit the dirt... an real issue with a smaller cal bullet at this range... and I think I'll take my good 'ol 308 too, she'll toss dirt Related link: Cases
