Stan is putting together a 30BR for me this Winter. Since my primary focus is my Hunter gun, the 30BR is going to be a 10.5 lb. LV gun. I have some serious reservations about going from a 13.5 lb. gun to a 10 lb. gun on the same weekend (or the same day, depending on how the match is set up) and being able to shoot both guns well, so keeping the 30BR as a LV weight should keep both guns feeling about the same. I'm not real jazzed up about shooting a 'big' scope, either...I like being able to see a lot of flags in the 6X scopes for condition changes that are coming my way.
I guess you could say I'm going about this backwards, but hey...I'm from South Dakota and things like this make perfect sense in the 'Forbidden Zone'.
One thing about this project is certain...if I think it's getting in the way of my Hunter shooting it will be short lived. -Al
