RG- If that Nightforce scope seemed a bit big on your rifle  ( you had mentioned this on the "favorite scope" post) you had it on, it may be that you just need a bigger rifle. A couple of weeks ago a friend & I spent a couple of days shooting a 50 cal heavy unlimited rifle. I'm not talking about a puny ol regular 50 cal rifle, but a humongus thing...with our 80 pound HOT SYSTEM barrel on the rifle, it weighed in at just under 300 pounds. Let me tell you that the 2 1/2 pound ol Nightforce looked like a little toy. Recoil??? What recoil?...just a long range varmint rifle...Bill
