Hi Pat
Well, I like most of my scopes to have a reasonable amount of magnification. For long range benchrest I have two 12-42 Nightforce scopes and a premier boosted Leupold Long-range scope that’s now 20-50X. For regular BR I mostly use a Leupold 45, but just got a B&L 4200 36X, though it has been difficult to get used to after the 45 power.
For much of my varmint shooting I usually use Leupold 6.5-20 or 8.5-25 power scopes. I have 4 of these scopes.
Over here the main style of predator shooting is foxes in the spotlight at night. This usually requires a fairy heavy crosshair to show up in the light, but I had very good success with a Nightforce 3.5-15 with the illuminated reticle. This combo works very well at night, but is a nice fine aiming point.
