>What is your favorite Predator scope and Long Range scope?

For varmint shootin' (prairie dogs, rock chucks, ground squirrels, etc.) and most predator calling, I prefer  10-12X  fixed magnification scope featuring a 1/2 minute dot reticle. For deer, antelope, elk  and bear huntin',  I prefer fixed 6 power scopes with 1 MOA dot reticles; I do have and use an old Leupold M8-6x with the CPC (tapered cross-hair) reticle which has served well. I never had a variable, which I liked, on a hunting rifle. In the past twenty years or so, I have owned only one variable power scope - a NightForce 8x32, which resides attop my HV rig, constantly set at 32X. Over the last three winters, I have used this scope/rifle combo to shoot several coyotes, in the light of the full moon, with the setting @ 8x and using the lighted reticle (a dot) . . it worked ok for shooting off the deck and across the bean/corn field (less than 250 Yd.). But this scope would be obnoxious on a real hunting rifle; it is HUGE and, not counting the rings.bases, weighs 34 ounces. . .

Keep 'em ON the X! R.G.
