Edit

My Swift was definitely more accurate when I only neck sized..just goes to show us that they all have their different personalities, right? My chamber was a big one at .262, but I never lost a case neck due to splitting or cracking. I did use Reddings carbide sizing ball and that made a huge difference in how straight the necks stayed. My Swift absolutely loved AA2700 powder with the Nosler 40's. The B.C. on them is .221, which is as good as most 50's on the market. They are not what you want for saving pelts, though. Interestingly, the least pelt damage occured at both real short (under 100 yds) and real long (300+) yardages. In the middle, things could take a nasty turn. Not as nasty as my 243 Ackley with the Nosler 55 gr. BTips at 4300, though...not a lot of fox to bring back to the truck sometimes. AA2700 is a really nice powder for the Swift..low flame temp and it meters like water. It has recently been reintroduced and I've not tried any of the new stuff, but reports from a couple of my Swift-y pals say it's just as good as the 'old' 2700. AA2520 also works great with the lighter bullets, as does WW760.
