Fergus, Pat Cameron and I have become good pals even though he lives in Eastern Canada and I'm from what Randy Robinett has termed 'The Forbidden Zone' (South Dakota) ;). Pat is a class guy that knows more about hunting fox than almost anyone I know. He's a true perfectionist in his approach to hunting and rifle building and is a real source of solid info regarding the .17 calibers.
Hope Carleton has several black/grey marbled Sako Varmint stocks...maybe he can post a pic or two of them. I think it's a nice mix and it's become a sort of trademark for a SGR built 'Hope Gun' to wear this color combo.
My all time favorite color pattern is the purple/white marbled HBR stock I have...or the yellow and grey HBR stock...Todd's orange & yellow flame job...sigh...so many colors, so little time! -Al
P.S. I'm going to try to get Pat to check in here occasionaly...he's got a lot of info that we could all benefit from. -Al
