Edit

Its good to be back with friends.

How do you win with something that does not work?  Is the barrel working?? I just cannot tell.  I find it interesting that the first 800 rounds or so produced nothing more exciting than about 245 and just a few X's.  I also find it interesting that the last 500 rounds have produced an average of 13 X's per match but only one 250 . It produced an agg win for victory in the Oregon Trail Classic but produced only a 248 at 100 but turned in a 246 at both 200 and 300.  I normally have to hit the 100 yard with a 250 to even be close for the agg.  My 200 and 300 yard scores have increased enough to make up for the fact I seem unable to get the points at 100.  Is it possible to have a barrel that produces for the agg but falls short at some yardages?  Am I going to need 3 barrels for 3 yardages?  I have 3 barrels on the shelf that were still producing 100 yard 250's and X's when I took them off.  Life is becoming too complicated.  I gave the rifle to Marv Nunn to play with today.  Give him a chance to play with the edge stock and see what he can produce from the 17.  We have a 3 yardage shoot this weekend so I guess we will ring it out again.

Be well,
