I got scared when I didn't see this site available I had a server rebuild flashback, but then noticed www.sgrcustomrifles.com was dark too so I knew the problem was bigger and not mine to deal with
We came back online about 6:30. The host of our servers had his network go down from his upstream provider. Here is the note:
"September 25, 2003 Network Status Update:
Early this morning, the Internet provider for RRCNET had an equipment
failure in Minneapolis. The company called me a few minutes ago to let me
know they have the problem resolved.
I want to apologize for the interruption in service and thank you for your
patience. "
It is good to be back. Basically what happened to the network would be similar to an artery failure in the body. If the artery (big network provider) breaks, none of the smaller arteries (ISP's) and capillaries (ISP's customers - us) are going to get any blood (network bandwidth). Thanks go to Leonard at RRCNET for staying on top of things.
Stan said he placed some updates on last night in the articles section, so go check them out if you haven't.
