Edit

Ahhhhh......it's 36 degrees this morning here in Sioux Falls and the first smell of hunting season hangs in the clear South Dakota morning.

Last evening, a group of 6 late-hatch pheasants ambled across my back yard and into the bean field to the West of me. Pheasant numbers are 40% more than in previous years, so we should get some good meals for the 'ol casserole dish this season.

Once we get all that pheasant stuff out of the way...it's time for some fox hunting! We've had 2 years of virtually no snow, so I hope that this year will be different.

Best of luck and safe hunting to everyone in the upcoming hunting season.   -Al
