Al drove all the way from South Dakota to capture the IBS Hunter Nationals championship with some mighty fine shooting. He handled the strong winds very well on Sunday. Some very fine shooting, I was impressed. On Saturday, we had some pretty reasonable conditions and some pretty good scores were posted. In Hunter class, Gary Long posted a 250-20x score and in Varmint Hunter class, I posted a 250-19x score. It rained most of the day and the wind blew a little but it was very reasonable scoring conditions. Then the wind got nasty and points were being dropped in pairs by some very good shooters. Al shot steady and didn't shoot any "bad" targets.
On a side note, it was very nice to meet some of the HBR shooters who made the drive out, including Robinett, Ron Shultz, Craig Nagel, Randy Perkowski, Hank Kulhawick, and others. Good conversation was had all weekend.
