and a little wierd stuff - what was SCARY was that I had HEARD the noise somewhere B4! ;) I really enjoyed the DAC music - hadn't heard any of THAT for many a moon!

Last I heard, folks were threatening to lock Jeff Jetter and me in an air tight room and see who passed out [for lack of breath]first! ;) I managed to pick up a few tidbits of wisdom from Roy &Craig . . . but I expect they were only to happy to kick me out of the van and sped past QF Lane!

On a personal note, for the first three days, I was able to stay in the hunt - then came the day from hell . . .I still have not been able to figure out what went wrong . . . IT was as near to dead clam as it gets! By the fifth match, with the same dead center hold I was able to use during the warm-up and record matches #s 1&2, my rig was grouping IN the red ring at 2:00 O'clock! :(  This despite trying to shoot with the 'current' coming in from the 2:00 O'clock direction! It was a case of terminal idiocy - I just could not make myself hold off as far as the sighter dictated! :( The David Allen Coe music was appropriate: " . . . the master piece we planned is lying shattered on the ground . . . if she's out there runnin' wild - it's because I taught her how . . ."

On the bright side, I enjoyed the company, had my chances to win BIG during three of the four yardages but just couldn't close the deal. I was able to require others to use their "closer" skills! ;)  In the end, winning at any level requires a "little luck" - the catch is being able to manufacture most of that luck via preparedness and determination . . .and then, having our best effort be just a little better than the next guy's . . .

I can tell ya one thing for certain: LOOK OUT next year, 'cause there is no motivation as powerful as being first LOSER!  ;)
