Jim, I have been seeing and hearing complimentary reports regarding the 17 twist Kostyshyn barrels - I have one on the way - however, it will have to be a winter project, as I have things pretty well sorted out for the upcoming IBS/NBRSA National Championship tournaments; I'm "gonna dance with the one what brung me" !  Though I have not lived up to the potential, I believe that the current PacNor 1:18" twist barrel [on my HBR rifle] is the best barrel I've ever had.

As with bullets, these days, we're blessed with a LOT of good barrels/makers! Assuming good smithing a nd stocking, I believe it's more difficult to get a DOG than a rig which is limited by shooter ability; a complete reversal from 10 -12 years ago. And this - ability - INCLUDES TUNING; there a a fair number of rigs at every tournament which have NO chance of posting a winning number - when it comes to precision, many are too easily satisfied.

Keep 'em ON the X! R.G.
