in the IBS a muzzle break is allowed if it is integral to the barrel, like magnaporting. What isn't allowed is the screw on kind. And rightly so. I would just as soons see the rule changed to not allow them at all. There is a certain civility to our game and with that comes good neighborliness...i.e. not piercing the eardrums of the shooter next to you cause you want a break on a 30-338 because you think the extra velocity and BC of the heavy bullet will buck the wind better. I believe the majority would agree, but I may be wrong. If you can't stand the recoil with a regular barrel then find something you can stand...with a regular barrel, sans break. jmho. ==greg
