Edit

It is good to see the .30's holding up well at 200 yards, that is one area of criticism locally

Without taking a thing away from the .30-cal. shooters who beat us fair and square, yesterday's 200-yard agg results at Holmen didn't have a lot to do with caliber choice.  Randy didn't mention that 2nd and 4th place were taken by 6 PPC shooters, or that even the winning score was a full 4 points below the range record, which was set with a 6 PPC.  (In fact, Ron Schultz and his Six were beating the snot out of the rest of us until Ron got derailed on the last target.)  If this shoot proved anything, it was the fact that when conditions get bad enough, it doesn't much matter what you're shooting!
