While passing through Wyoming I decided to shoot the Hunter Nationals even though I only had the 308 Obermeyer and heavy, heavy, 134 grain bullets.
I saw Big Mike there, saw Randy too a little later, heard some muttering about "where's the magic"? You are shooting 134's? Full size case??? "Did you put this fox tail on my bench"?.."How did you get the point off of that bullet"?...(I gave him one of my secret loads). At one point he was seen running up to the range officer yelling something about cross-firing AGAIN. At the end of 4 days I saw sweat and snot bubbles flying about and poor Donna was soothing Randy's brow with a cool towel.
On a serious note, great shoot, great people, great fun. Old friends Guy Chism and Wayne Corley, RJ, Randy, Tim Naugle, Cody Haslett, Mike Swickard and so on. New friends too numerous to mention. The one time of the year that things make sense....
Be well friends, Larry Cribbs
