Edit

Bob Green has been doing Al's work recently, and I believe that Al used Bob's reamer unless Al has his own.  If that was the case, the reamer spec was the same as mine, which was the same as yours basically.  I think that my OAL was different based on your recommendation.  My personal reamer has been responsible for Craig Kostyshyn's barrel, and all 3 of mine - which all shoot fantastic.  my print(Kiff reamer) calls for a freebore diameter of .3084 if I'm reading it correctly.  the lead is spec'd as 1degree 45 with 0 freebore.

Even with the fattest of .30 cal bullets that i have to try (.3088 - .3089 112 BIB's), I still get square marks on my bullets from the lands.  Hard to argue with the success of the BIB's since they are at the top of the winner's list most of the time. I load my bullets long so that they are heavy into the lands (almost to heavy, requiring a heavy bolt closure).  My own bullets that I've been making measure smaller, at .3083.  I've also shot a fair amount of Livengood bullets that measure .3085.  I understand that Bill and Brian Neimi like bullets that are smaller than .3080 on the shank and measure an even .3080 on the pressure band.
