I've seen 'em!  Even though he sets up a little protective wall around his loading area to discourage the unwashed masses from peering, I managed to peek through the cracks at Kansas City this last April.

   R.G.'s primers are nothing less than those little Ladyfinger firecrackers that measure about 3/8" long. I sharpened up a hunk of coal, got out my cleanest shovel and did some cipherin', ala Jethro Bodeeen from the Clampett family. I figured out that he needs them to light off all that weird powder he's been a puttin' in those cases....cordite!
