Well, Randy and BM I am glad it worked out for you. Actually there is no right or wrong way to do it. I have done it with a center rest and using the tailstock and this method also works. There are advantages to both.I can remember my Dad (his hay day was in the 50's and 60's ) showing me how he did it. When he got done he said.... this is how I do it.... If you can't find a better way you will never make it in the gun business. I don't know if I found a better way, but it works well for me. I have also played with new ways such as I did Al Nyhus's that won the IBS Nationals... this is a better way I think but has some flaws that I am working on. You must have the chamber and throat running perfect down the middle in my opinion and anything less is not acceptable in a bench gun.. granted some of the off center so to speak may shoot well.. but there is the possiblity it would have been a hummer if true to the bore. I suppose now... when I go to see Big Mike in Madrid.. there will be a Huge sign as you head down the gravel road that says.... RANDY'S ACCURACY CHAMBERING !!!!! and the sign will be over looking a Brand new house that Big Mike is building.SGR
