Edit

Four intrepid souls (myself, Pete Wass, Barry Ramsdell and Jim Goody) braved snow showers, some sun, wind x 10^5 and an occasional lull, to do some shooting and dusting out the cob webs today at the Orrington, Maine range. For those of you who don't know (and care), Jim has broken with tradition and had a Lilja 1-17 three groove barrel chambered up in his beloved 30 JAG chambering ( a 30x47 on steroids). He sat down around 10 this morning and picked his way through some tough wind conditions to shoot the 5 shot group in the link below. Not bad for a "non-believer", at least up till now...a true metamorphosis given "the truckload of wood that went down the road via 17 and 18 twist barrels last year." Note NO vertical and the horizontal spread undoubtedly due to the tough winds today.

We finished the shooting day with a homemade Chili, compliments of yours truely and chips and drinks by Jim, all heated on an old fashioned gas camp stove. A fitting end to a fine day.
