Randy,
your point on the speed at which you can run the targets with a 6x scope is a good one. It takes me much longer to acquire the sight picture with the 6x scope and takes me longer to run 'em when the conditions are right. I think that this also contributes to the lesser scores at 200 yards as well. I don't shoot the 200 and 300 yard legs often enough, usually only shooting a one day match per month of 100 yards. I feel that the Farley rest has allowed me to speed up considerably with the 6x gun and wouldn't trade back now. I also like to have a center aim point with my scope dialed into my "chosen" condition. I can run a lot faster if I only need to establish my center point of aim and not worry about hold off. If I've got to hold off for a different condition, I go much slower and am more tentative. I don't know what my X count average was last year, but I didn't drop a single point at 100 yards til the last match of the year where I proceeded to drop 2 points for a 248. I shot the Varmint Hunter class exclusively last year with the .30BR, I can only hope that my 30x46 will be as kind to me.
