Edit

Allen, I brought my duct tape to Todd's yesterday, but the crafty dog showed me some double trick, double screw, extra tall Kelbly 30MM rings he'd purchased. I took the duct tape home.

Seriously, the NF scopes are really heavy and I would suggest all the clamping area you can get. I would consider bedding the scope tube to the rings, as well. I've been doing this on my rifles and it works well. I just bedded the rings on my 30BR a few days ago and even with lapping, there was only about 70% contact. After bedding, it's 100%. On my HBR gun, I bed the ring tops in a seperate operation. You do need to do some relieving of the parting lines to make sure the rings don't pinch the tube, but this should be done anyway.

JDK makes the Nimbus rings in 30MM, but I'm not sure if they make the .900 wide or just the .600 wide.  -Al
