    It's time to begin thinking about huntin' season . . . .

Here's a pic of a buck which was hanging around until about July 15 - haven't gotten a photo of him since . . . this was snapped July 5, 09. RG

Nice pic, Jim! :) And some nice bucks to boot! The grub is what's keeping them away from the back-yard here - that is, the soy-beans, as seen in your photo! ;) Donna's trail-cam hasn't recorded a deer since July 15! :(  The beans are to our South and North this year - about 1/2 mile in each direction -  just far enough away to keep the back-yard pretty empty . . . Here's a pic of the first buck, a few hours later - still July 5,09 . . . he'll probably be about as good as we'll have close to home.

I'm always thinking about coyote season, even dureing the summer i'm out locateing for this years crop and looking for other var. for this year like coon and redfox.. So far i have a doz. or so groups of coyotes located and about the same for redfox.. For some reason there seems to be an increase in the fox numbers this year..

I made the trip to Pierre S.D. for the V.H. jamberee and after wards i went to my hunting area and located coyotes for the up comeing season and even called a thriple in and shot two and got a single on another stand.. Here are a few pic's..
