    Stan, best wishes . . .

We're thinking of you, and praying for a full and speedy solution to your heart condition! Al 'ratted you out' and told me about your comment, "at least we weren't at deckert's" - for those who don't know where Deckert's is, just think 'the middle of nowhere'. ;) I can only dream about displaying such grace and humor under pressure - we missed you yesterday, but  we're expecting to see you again soon!      Yeah, really if you didn't want to buy me lunch you could've just said so, no need to go through all that. (Kidding of course)

Best wishes from Kay and I, get well soon.

I guess that here in Kentucky we are near the end of the "grapevine" and have not heard a word about what has befallen our friend..:>(.....but Stan, without further knowledge, we wish you the "best"...... a non-invasive resolution to the problem and a rapdi/full recovery..... Randy, what I know of Stan, you pretty much summed up a strong point of his "persona" in this one sentence "displaying such grace and humor under pressure".....I can see that in the man. Get Well Soon Stan! -H

     Randy,

I would like to thank you and all the kind folks for all the wonderful comments I have received either by email, phone or by posting. The medicine we have now days is certainly outstanding, but I have found the best medicine is the medicine from all the friends and their comments. I mean that. Al Nyhus went out of his way and had but a few hours of sleep and believe it or not there were not allot of words spoken the way to the hospital. One thing I did notice is that Al turned up the volume on the Johnny Cash album I currently had in and we listened in all the way without uttering any words......now that in itself is something I thought would never happen. I am not sure I have converted him yet, but one must admit that it is surly and improvement over the Mettal Attic or Metallica or what ever you call that type of music.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE KIND WORDS AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL

    STAN

I was trying to come up with some way of staying awake and figured any sort of really irritating sound would work. Lacking a chalkboard to run my fingernails over, I turned to the closest thing I could think off....country music. Stan is truly "Tougher than the back wall of a shootin' gallery."
