I wanted to share another picture of the success of a young hunter with board members. Henry, who is the son of good friends of mine Holly and Chuck, took his first deer during Kentucky’s October youth’s deer season….the ”smile” tells the rest of the story! “What is contained in a smile?”….Well in this case it is the joy and elation of that first fruitful deer hunt! But deeper than that, and as in the previous stories shared by Al and Todd, it is the future of hunting and shooting sports. I am proud of the different States Fish and Game Departments that have established specific seasons for our youth to enjoy and I applaud parents and other adults who introduce these young sportsmen and women to these opportunities by teaching them about shooting, firearm safety and the enjoyment of hunting or participating in shooting sports.  Hope, I absolutely love that picture!!  You are absolutely correct my friend, that is the future of hunting, shooting and everything that goes with it.  South Dakota established youth seasons several years ago and it had been a great success story!
