IBS Michigan Score Champion Ideas
This is the content of a letter I got from Tom Majewski regarding a Michigan IBS Championship Series.
Title: Michigan IBS Score Shooter Of The Year
Goals: Round Robin Tournament with all participating IBS associated clubs in Michigan to determine Michigan IBS score shooter of the year.
Clubs and Yardage Possibilities: Harrison - 100 yards
Holton - 100 and 200 yards
Oscoda - 100, 200, and 300 yards
WWCCA - 100 and 200 yards
Matches: Minimum of Four (4) - 1 at each club with aggregates at each yardage will be on designated dates only throughout the year with no throwaway scores.
Classes: VFS, Varmint Hunter, Hunter, and Open ( Factory and Custom Rifles)
Time: All matches will be seven (7) minute matches.
Cost: An additional $2.00 or $3.00 per aggregate will be charged to All shooters at designated match with money divided at end of the year in all four (4) classes.
If there are fewer than the four (4) clubs participating number of matches may increase or decrease as scheduling allows.
Your views and opinions are appreciated, especially if you plan on getting involved in this series. For unknown reasons, Tom is unable to post on BC Forum at this time and has asked that I post this. A few clarifications at this time are: No, The matches will not be contested on consecutive weekends. No, a club is not required to shoot all their matches for the year at that club as IBS registered. Those clubs can shoot their other matches unregistered. Guns must meet IBS standards for weight and configuration. This is to level the playing field. Scores will be determined using the IBS scoring reticle. Those shooting in these matches must be a member of IBS or any other association that IBS recognizes and reciprocates with for shooting purposes. A member of NBRSA can shoot in IBS matches. Post your opinions or questions here or e-mail me or Tom Majewski. At this time this is a work in progress as the rules of the series and dates must be finalized by December 1 so that they can be added to the IBS schedule for 2009.
