Bench-Talk

Glad to have you here at the new site.  There are many new and improved features over what the last site offered.  The software we are using was written specifically for the type of site we have.  It's intended to make it very easy to post and reply and leave comments.  In other words, it's designed to facilitate discussion.

 I've posted some info in the Help Forum to get you started using the site.

Ryan, the new forums appears to be working - I see that Craig Nagel checked in, so, I wonder, How hard can it be?! ;)

 Hi Randy, Glad to have you aboard. We have alot of new things and for old Codger like me it takes awhile to get use to. I haven't seen AL on yet. He called me about getting on today and I said..... OK at the bottom of the left hand side of your screen, can you see the OK button displayed ? and his answer was...... Wowsers, how can you see my screen from there ?  Need I say anymore ?

Anyway, we do expect some of your fantastic hunting storys and regular advice/opinions on here . Thanks for signing in.

   Well....I guess I made it?  Been busy working in my basement...getting my fireplace up and running, wiring, insulation, etc. Had to do some sheetmetal fabrication for venting my fireplace and it's a darn good thing I don't use tin snips for a living'....darn near bled to death from all the cuts!  -Al

One thing you can do is go to photo shop and they can make you look 18 again.... but we all like you just as you are. Well, most of us do anyway.

Looks like you are catch'in up on "the list"..;>) I am doing some of the same with doing some tile flooring in the upstairs bath...ouch, my knees!.....53 year old knees are past their "prime" when it comes to laying tile!

PS - I wonder, will the old forum [info] remain forever suspended in cyberspace for us to occasionally "mine" - or, will it eventually implode into nothingness???

 Actually the old forum is here, as well.  That's the good news the bad news is that the brains behind it aren't.  What that means is that it's available for google to crawl.  After I see those pages getting crawled nicely by the google bot, I'll put up a page with a search button and you can search for whatever in the old forum.  Best I could do, that old forum software is just that, old.  I could not find any converters from it to anything else.

 I'll get the page up in a few days, it's not much use now anyway as the content isn't idexed anyway.

Well this all seems different but I like it.
