The most coyotes I have had respond to a single stand would be six.......late in the year,the group came in across a small river ('bout 50 yards wide) and all looked to be mature animals,one with a front foot gone.........the total of shots fired during that encounter was ZERO!.... I was so mesmerized by that group running into the call that I "second guessed" my shot selection,switching to another target that did not present the shot I wanted either and in a matter of seconds all opportunty had vanished!...I reckon you could say I got a bad case of "coyote fever"!......
