Stan - ya stole the TITLE for my next article! ;)

Seriously, GREAT clip! Stan FIXED two of my "trued" Rem. 700s, both of which had timing issues! Stan's having isolated the REAL problem with the RFD (SP) action testifies to his being a REAL gunsmith! ;) The only problem now, is that the action resides in the Lower Dakota Territories and may lapse into obscurity! ;) Back to a serious note: Stan, Thank You for fixing my stuff - and a BIGGER Thank You for SHARING your knowledge!        Great video, Stan...well done. I linked it to my post on BRC to better illustrate what we're talking about.

Randy, no need to worry about it headed to obscurity...I absolutely love this gun. It's proportions are 'just right'..almost dainty for a BR gun.

I do have to say...even though it's got a 30BR barrel on it now...there's something about the gun that just seems like it should have a .22 barrel on it. Maybe a 22PPC .085-.0100 short or one of the 22 Beggs????    -Al

Al, the original barrel (which I stll have - a Hart 1:14) was a .220 Russian with a 30 Deg. shoulder, which Jerry Simison chambered, using my reamer. The barrel was only fired about 30 times - when THE issues began cropping up! :(  If you're interested, I'll lay it out on the front pourch and maybe, HE'll find it and take it up to you - the threads won't fit on anything else here.. Looking back, I wish I'd just gotten a straight Russian body/shoulder; that would make the FL/bushing size-die issue less difficult. But now, I have a Niel Jones FL/bushing die, so the next episode should go smoothly - no, you can;t have the Jones die! ;)

Or, if you'd like, I can loan the reamer to Stan - I'm with you, a .22 was my original plan for that rifle. A properly functioning RFD is a beautiful thing. :) RG
