    Tags Tags and More Tags

One of the things I wanted to make people aware of is the "Tag Clouds" in the blog and discussion forums.  You've probably noticed that when you post or reply to a post at the bottom of the message area there is a tag section.  Think of a tag similar to a category or topic.  It can be broad or narrow, or sometimes more than one category fits a post.  Some tags have a larger font than others.  The size of the font indicates the amount of items that have been tagged with that term.

The purpose of these tags is to serve as a quasi index or trail of breadcrumbs for site visitors.  If you click on a tag it will take you to all the forum entries or blog entries around that tag.  It's just a quick way to access posts on a particular topic.

I would encourge people as they post to tag their posts.  You can do this by selecting a tag that already exists by clicking "select tags" or by creating a new tag simply by typing what you want as a tag in the space for tags.  The tag will be created.

     Thanks,

    Ryan
